Talk abstract
Monitoring changes in terrestrial water storage (TWS) is essential to understand how the Earth’s water cycle responds to climate variability. However, current satellite gravimetry missions such as GRACE provide data at coarse spatial resolution, limiting regional analyses. In the framework of future gravimetric missions like NGGM and MAGIC, this presentation presents an AI-based approach to downscale TWS maps by integrating multiple hydrological variables and physical constraints. The method enhances spatial detail while preserving mass balance, providing more informative TWS estimates for regional hydrology and climate applications.
